“It was a terrible, indescribable thing vaster than any subway train—a shapeless congeries of protoplasmic bubbles, faintly self-luminous, and with myriads of temporary eyes forming and un-forming as pustules of greenish light all over the tunnel-filling front that bore down upon us, crushing the frantic penguins and slithering over the glistening floor that it and its kind had swept so evilly free of all litter.”
— H. P. Lovecraft, At the Mountains of Madness
These highly detailed monster stands make “Arkham Horror: The Card Game” gameplay clearer. One can easily see, where the monsters are located on the table. It’s been designed so that the encounter cards can be placed on the stands sideways, for ex. if a monster is exhausted. In addition, the stands strongly enhance the thematic playing experience. Unsleeved cards fit in the card slot snugly and are wide enough to accomodate sleeved cards as well. A great deal of time was spent sculpting the shoggoth in Blender. Stylistically, they look very similar to my investigator stands.
If you’re wondering why the shoggoth and location cards are blank, I’ve erased all information to prevent spoilers.
These stands are a bit more expensive to print, since they have a greater volume.
