The “Necronomicon” deck holder can be used to, for example, hold Arkham Horror: The Card Game’s encounter deck or Eldritch Horror’s mythos deck. One side can hold the face down deck, while the other side can hold the discarded cards. It makes for a wonderful, thematic and functional centerpiece on the gaming table.
The deck holder comes in three parts; two book covers and a book binding. An assembled deck holder measures approximately 13,6 cm wide, 9,4 cm long and 5,8 cm tall. The holder is quite hefty, so it’s hard to knock over during play. The holder’s pages are the same size as unsleeved standard sized cards. The middle (binding) part has a jagged surface, so prevents cards from sliding.
The paint jobs are protected with a durable polyurethane matte varnish, so painted deck holders should stay in perfect condition for a very long time.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
- Carefully insert the book covers’ support pegs in the book binding’s peg holes. Epoxy resin glue can be applied to the peg holes for permanent assembly.
- Do not place any excessing weight on the assembled deck holder, to prevent the support pegs from breaking.
PAINTING INSTRUCTIONS
- Cover the support pegs and the peg holes with masking tape before painting. The designed tolerances are so small, that any paint layers can hinder how well the parts slide together.
